ARIZONA HANG GLIDING AND PARAGLIDING ASSOCIATION

• Sites not included in the provided list are accepted, but pilots must accurately report the elevation gain in feet for their hiking portion.​

• The deadline for uploading a flight is 10 days after day of the flight. No flights will be accepted after the deadline. No flights will be accepted after the competition has ended (February 28th) regardless of the 10 day deadline. 

Scoring

• Points will be awarded for the total elevation gain during the hike portion of the hike and fly. 1 ft = 1 pt

• The elevation gain which awards points should only include the elevation gain that the pilot actually hikes, not including any driving to/from staging areas.

• To promote safe flying and community engagement, bonus points will be awarded for hiking and flying with others as follows:

  • An extra 10% added to your points for hiking with 1 or more other pilots.

  • And additional 5% added to your points for hiking/flying with a P2 rated pilot (as a p3 or above), and vice versa a P2 rated pilot will get the additional 5%  added to their points for flying with a p3 rated pilot or above.
