Since 1975 the Arizona Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association (previously known as AHGA) has represented free flight pilots in the Grand Canyon State. Our members share a fanatical interest in soaring hang gliders and paragliders. Since the beginning, our club has worked hard with many local and state organizations in order to preserve existing flying sites and open or greatly enhanced existing sites. Annual club membership dues and visiting pilot fees along with donations are what help us in our mission to keep hang gliding and paragliding alive and well today and for years to come. Membership dues help with site improvements, general maintenance, new wind socks, flying events and cold beer at every LZ. (just kidding about the beer, would be nice though right?)

By becoming an AZHPA club member or visiting pilot, you have access to all of our great flying sites. South Mountain, Mingus, Shaw Butte, Humbolt, Oatman and can talk with our members about visiting many more throughout the state. You will also meet some really great people who have a wealth of experience in flying hang gliders and paragliders throughout the Grand Canyon state.
