Head First SIV
In June of last year I attended my first SIV course and learned a great deal while regaining some confidence after my three-year hiatus from flying. A couple weeks ago I returned from my second course at Lake Berryessa in northern California with Brad Gunnuscio as the instructor.

Waiting for the Wonder
“Wonderwind.” “The Wonder.” “Ze Vundervind.” We heard it called many things during our visit to the Southern Tier Sky Surfers’ territory in the Finger Lakes area of New York. All I knew was that I wanted in it! Jimbo and I had four days to fly with this great group of pilots, and were hoping to at least get a few launches in. We knew the weather would be unpredictable, and storms were forecasted for the week.

Dustin Does It Again & Again...

Desert Wind Does Hawaii
This last trip I flew a friend and student Sean Buckner out on my overfilled Hawaiian miles account and my long time flying friend Glenn from Phoenix and his friend JR also came along. Not epic Hawaii flying but sweet enough for us to get some sick flying in. Crazyman, Pounders, Tomato Patch and Tomato Juice are just a few of the things you will learn about.

AZXC Contest
The Arizona Cross Country Contest has officially begun! This fun contest is designed to promote and generate interest in cross country flying. There is a class for every pilot skill level and advanced pilots willing to mentor the newbies, so sign up and Let's Go Somewhere! Contest starts March 1st.
