Waiting for the Wonder “Wonderwind.” “The Wonder.” “Ze Vundervind.” We heard it called many things during our visit to the Southern Tier Sky Surfers’ territory in the Finger Lakes area of New York. All I knew was that I wanted in it! Jimbo and I had four days to fly with this great group of pilots, and were hoping to at least get a few launches in. We knew the weather would be unpredictable, and storms were forecasted for the week.

Desert Wind Does Hawaii This last trip I flew a friend and student Sean Buckner out on my overfilled Hawaiian miles account and my long time flying friend Glenn from Phoenix and his friend JR also came along.
