Wow, that's great stuff to watch in slow motion knowing the pilot had a lucky escape. 
Jim and Sean thanks for the great vid to learn from.
The thing that had my eyes poppin was on the slowest speed, you can see the glider flying, then fall back and the lines go slack. When Jim runs out of launch he seems to pendulum up as he swings ahead of a near stationary glider. I'm sure there was a bit of lift and that probably made the key difference. Can't wait for the more discerning eyes to offer insights.
