Hey all -

East Coast Pilot (Capital Hanggliding & Paragliding Association - http://www.chgpa.org) that looks to be moving to Phoenix area over the next 6 months. Former Naval Aviator turned Chef and heading out to Phoenix to be closer to my wife's family and taking an instructor position at a Culinary School in the Scottsdale area. H3 (AT/FL/AWCL/CL/FSL/RFL) currently flying a Batman insignia U2-160 with a Talon-150 backup. Just spent a week in Phoenix last week for a wedding and got the flying bug. Wish I would of coordinated earlier to do some flying during my visit! How is the flying community and how is the flying in the Phoenix area? Hope to be out there this Summer or Early Fall, position opens in September so I'm trying to get everything locked up and stowed away here in Northern Virginia.

Chris, our flying community is very active and full of great people. This year we've had some great flying days throughout the winter. Spring is here and things are only going to get better. The club has lots of HG pilot who are very knowledgeable of the sites and conditions here in AZ so don't be a stranger and we all hope to meet you once you get settled in.
